I had a roof repair that needed to be done due to storm damage. I called Shine on a Monday, they came out to do the estimate on Tuesday and the work was completed by Friday of the same week. One of the easiest experiences that I have ever had hiring a contractor. Quality work. Great experience from the first phone call to the completed project.
Manny and his team are sensitive to the needs of an older house. The work happened as scheduled, without a hitch, and with excellent cleanup. In addition, they took on a couple of related repairs so that I would not have to contract with and coordinate a carpenter and mason. They took extra care to match new gable trim to the style of the trim I asked them to replace.

From the estimate all the way through the finishing of the roof these guys were excellent. They showed up and finished on time, the quality of the workmanship and materials were great as well as the hard working crew, fantastic customer service, very trustworthy. Manny, the owner, and his crew went above and beyond my expectations in all aspects of the project. I have never been so impressed by the performance of a contractor crew. From introduction, quoting, the day of the project and through to the finish, Manny and his crew were prompt, courteous, helpful, flexible, extremely hard working, and kind. The quote was one of the best prices of the 4 quotes that I received for stripping two layers of shingles, replacing the roof on the house and two sheds, creating a new ridge vent, replacing several gutters and downspouts, and repairing the chimney as well. On the day of the project, I was pleasantly surprised as Manny and his crew manager began texting me photos from the roof to my phone to keep me up to speed as the project progressed. Photos of the stripped roof, all the rotten boards that were found, the new replacement boards, the new gutters, new lead around the chimney, new shingling, all came to my phone essentially real time as I was sitting inside the house. This was especially helpful when the crew discovered a problem around the base of my chimney at the roofline. Manny documented the problem, came to review it with me, made a run to the hardware store, took care of the issue, and documented the repair. The house was draped with tarps to collect the old roof debris and to protect the yard and plants. I was impressed and thankful that they did such a fantastic job protecting the plant beds around the house and how thorough the yard was cleaned. It was amazing to see the house and yard turn into a construction zone in the morning and to be completely cleaned up and looking great by the end of the day. The new roof looks amazing and I have had no issues since the roof was completed. Shine Construction recently shingled our roof Monday, the 6th. They started promptly and had the whole job done in one day. This included installing new plywood sheathing on the whole roof along with replacing 3 skylights!!! Manny and The team are very professional and also very neat. When the job was done they cleaned up everything so that You would never know that they were there. I would highly recommend them to anyone!!!

I couldn't be happier with the work done by Manny and the crew of Shine Construction. They arrived at 7am as planned and had the entire roof stripped by 10. Then they fixed all the damaged plywood and boards, applied ice/water shield, put down the underlayment and proceeded to do the shingles. I think there were 7 people working on the job. They finished just before 8pm. And it was over 100 degrees on the roof! The entire yard was cleaned of debris and nails before they left. The quality of the job was superb and Manny is a pleasure to deal with. I highly recommend Shine for your roofing needs.
